Christian College, Chengannur is owned and managed by the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church and is affiliated to the University of Kerala. Our institution is very much committed towards nature conservation. The Bhoomithrasena club is one of the most actively functioning clubs of this institution that carry out environmental conservation activities. The students of the college, nearby schools and the general public are all getting the benefits of the activities undertaken by the club. At the same time, the club members are getting good opportunities to expand their green wisdom by participating in various conservation activities.

Activities

To raise awareness among students and the public about the importance of environmental conservation in honor of Earth Day 2025
To raise awareness about the importance of forests and biodiversity through a series of collaborative events.
The objective of the project was to provide a sustainable source of water for birds and small animals during the intense summer heat by distributing earthen vessels to the public.
The objective of the initiative was to educate students on the environmental impact of plastic pollution and promote responsible plastic use through awareness sessions in Pathanamthitta district schools.
The objective of the campus bird count was to contribute to the global Great Backyard Bird Count by documenting the species and number of birds present on the Christian College campus.
