Institution founded in 1954 by Swami Agamananda, social reformer and a forsighted Scholar of Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashram. The institution was established with the view to perpetuate the doctrines of the great Saint & Philosopher, Adi Sankarachrya and to nurture his birth place as a cultural citadel. Bhoomitra sena club of Sree Sankara College registered under DoECC on 2014 with reg. No. BMC-248/EKM/21/13.

• To promote plastic waste collection, segregation, and responsible disposal within the college campus. • To create awareness among students and staff about reducing plastic pollution and adopting eco-friendly habits. • To strengthen the college’s Green Campus Initiative through practical waste management measures.
• To promote the use of cloth bags as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic carry bags. • To create public awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution, especially during festive shopping seasons. • To encourage sustainable habits and responsible consumer behaviour among the community.
