VANAMITHRA TWO DAY NATURE CAMP at College Of Applied Science Vattamkulam
The Two-Day Nature Camp organized by Bhoomithrasena began with great enthusiasm on
29th October 2024. The camp was inaugurated by Sri. Hassainar, Nellssery Ward Member,
who graced the occasion with his presence. The program began with a warm welcome,
followed by a felicitation speech from Smt. Ranya KV, the Bhoomithrasena Faculty In-
Charge.
The program’s presidential speech was delivered by Sri Abdussamed, the Principal of the
College, who highlighted the importance of nature conservation and the relevance of such
camps. The Keynote Address was presented by Sri. Narayanan, PTA Vice President, who
spoke about the significance of understanding the environment and its preservation.
Various felicitation speeches were given by heads of different departments, including Sri.
Hari CM, Smt. Sura VS, Sri. Hama, and Staff Club Secretary Sri. Gopalakrishnan UK. The
College Union Chairman, Sri. Adarsh R Chandran, also expressed his gratitude and shared
the importance of such initiatives in creating environmental awareness among students.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Vivek Mohan, the BMC Student Coordinator, who
thanked all the dignitaries and participants for their support in making the event a success.
With that, the inaugural session of the camp was concluded.
After the inauguration, the camp activities began. The students participated in preparing the
Butterfly Garden, where they planted various butterfly-friendly plants. Later in the evening, a
traditional "Naadan Paattum Naattarivum" session was conducted by Sri. Anil
Kakkidippuram, adding a cultural touch to the camp. Following the Naadan Paattu session,
the students showcased their talents in a series of cultural programs. The performances,
including traditional dances, songs, and skits, reflected the rich cultural heritage of the region
and added an energetic and lively atmosphere to the camp. The students' participation in these
cultural events was a great way to enhance the community spirit and provide a fun and
engaging experience.
The students also worked together to prepare dinner, fostering teamwork and community
spirit.
