Report on Observance of World Animal Day and World Habitat Day
The Bhoomithrasena Club, in association with the Department of Natural Science, organized the Observance of World Animal Day and World Habitat Day on 15 October. The programme began with a welcome speech by Alveena Jose, followed by an introduction by Jameema VP, highlighting the significance of these global observances in promoting awareness about the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats.
Informative presentations were delivered by students on various topics:
1. Rishada M – Different Habitats
2. Ashika – Extincted Plants
3. Adithya M – Endangered Plants
4. Nihaya C – Extincted Animals
5. Safa SV – Endangered Animals
A quiz on wildlife was also conducted, adding an interactive and engaging element to the programme. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sr. Shincy, who expressed her gratitude to all participants and organizers for their active involvement. The programme successfully spread awareness on the importance of protecting biodiversity and sustaining our planet’s ecosystems.
