International Coastal Cleanup day at K KARUNAKARAN MEMORIAL MODEL POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE MALA,KALLETTUMKARA
As a part of the program students proceeded to clean puthanpalli beach,Azhikode. With wearing proper masks and gloves the participants collected waste from the beach.They also sorted it to degradable and biodegradable waste and entrusted them to the authorities.An awareness talk was also provided.They took a pledge to look forward to every single step to prevent throwing of waste and prevent the ecology.
The waste found near the beaches are not only deposited there but reach the destination from other water sources. The danger of plastic waste that affects the aquatic flora and fauna is immense and a major concern
