Mushroom cultivation training and kit sale at ST. STEPHEN'S COLLEGE


The Bhoomitra Sena Club, in association with the ED Club and IEDC of St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor, organized an interactive session on mushroom cultivation on Monday, 3rd February 2025, at the Media Center. The session featured Mr. Jithu Thomas, Managing Partner of Leenas Mushroom Farm LLP, a successful agripreneur in the field of sustainable mushroom farming.

The event aimed to provide practical training on mushroom cultivation, equipping students with essential knowledge about the process, benefits, and entrepreneurial potential of mushroom farming. Mr. Jithu Thomas shared his insights on species selection, cultivation techniques, sustainable practices, and market opportunities. The interactive format allowed participants to engage directly with the expert, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.

This training was a significant step in promoting sustainable agriculture and self-employment opportunities among students. The session also encouraged young minds to explore eco-friendly agribusiness models and utilize agricultural waste efficiently.
