Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bhoomika, Meenachil River Rain Monitoring Network (MRRM) and Bhoomithrasena Club of Henry Baker College, Melukavu at HENRY BAKER COLLEGE MELUKAVU
On November 22, 2024, Bhoomika, a local environmental organization, Bhoomika and the Meenachil River Rain Monitoring Network (MRRM), along with the Bhoomithrasena Club of Henry Baker College, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aiming to develop a data-based flood early warning system, promoting environmental awareness and community engagement. Under this project, the Bhoomithrasena Club is responsible for designing the data model, analysis, and prediction for the system, providing predictive flood trends to the Meenachil River and Rain Monitoring Network on a dynamic, real-time basis during the flood episodes based on the data it avails.
