HONOURING A FARMER at MVGOVT.HSS PEROOR,KOLLAM
Farming was once upon a time part and parcel of every household. Modernisation lead to the collapse of cultural heritage to a very great extend. Farming too was badly effected. Farmer was held in high esteem in the society.But later the farmer too was put behind in the social strata.Hence the significance of this programme. Students should be made aware of the importance of farming and also the social significance of the farmer.
Our school chose to HONOUR A FARMER on 18/08/2025 CHINGAM 1 .
The welcome speech was made by Smt.Binu HSST ZOOLOGY. It was followed by the honouring of Smt.Jagathamma a small scale farmer by our students. There followed a beautiful reward acceptance speech by Smt Jagathamma. In her speech she highlighted the importance of farming and also her personal experiences. She also demonstrated how to plant seedlings.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Shani .
It was a wonderful experience both for us and the students.
