INTERNATIONAL FOREST DAY OBSERVATION 2025 at MES Kalladi College Mannarkkad
Departments of Botany and Zoology, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, in association with the Bhoomithrasena Club, observed International Forest Day 2025 on 21 March 2025, with the theme "Food and Forest" to raise awareness about the importance of forests in sustaining life on Earth. The event commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Sereena K, Head of the Department of Botany, who emphasized the crucial role of forests in maintaining ecological balance. Dr. Rajesh C, Principal of MES Kalladi College, officially inaugurated the event, underscoring the college's ongoing commitment to environmental conservation.
Mr. Subair N, Forest Range Officer, Mannarkkad, delivered a keynote address, educating the audience on the vital role forests play in providing food, shelter, and livelihoods. He also highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable forest management practices. The event saw active participation from fifty students of MES Kalladi College, who expressed their enthusiasm for environmental conservation.
