The Bhoomithrasena Club of NIMIT successfully organized a two-day Nature Camp for students at the Vazhachal Forest area from 2nd December 2025 to 3rd December 2025. The camp was arranged with the support and guidance of the Forestry Department at Vazhachal. The primary objective of the program was to provide students with a meaningful opportunity to experience nature closely, understand the importance of environmental conservation, and develop a sense of responsibility towards protecting natural resources.

The camp began on the morning of 2nd December 2025 with the arrival of the participating students at the Vazhachal forest region. The program started with a brief orientation session conducted by the forest officials and coordinators. During this session, students were introduced to the objectives of the camp, the ecological importance of the Vazhachal forest area, and the rules and safety guidelines to be followed throughout the program. The officials also explained the significance of biodiversity conservation and the role that young individuals can play in protecting the environment.

Another important activity conducted during the camp was bird watching. Early in the morning on the second day, students participated in a bird watching session led by experts from the Forestry Department. They were introduced to various bird species found in the forest region and learned about their habitats, feeding patterns, and ecological roles. This activity helped students develop patience, observation skills, and appreciation for wildlife.

An amount of Rs. 7200/- were utilized for food and camp fees for government stay as it was a paid camp.

In addition to outdoor activities, the camp featured interactive sessions and discussions conducted by forest officials and environmental experts. These sessions focused on topics such as wildlife protection, forest conservation, sustainable living practices, and the impact of human activities on natural ecosystems. Students actively participated in these discussions and shared their thoughts and ideas about environmental protection.
