Nature Camp at Aralam Wild Life Sanctuary at Payyanur College

The Bhoomitrasena club of Payyanur College organized a two-day nature camp at Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary on March 21-22, 2026, in association with the Forest Department, to celebrate World Forest Day. A group of 30 members participated in the camp, which aimed to create awareness about forest conservation and sustainability. The participants engaged in various activities, including tree planting, awareness classes, and field visits. The tree planting drive was conducted in a designated area within the sanctuary, with the objective of restoring the forest ecosystem. The awareness classes covered topics such as the importance of forests, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable living practices. The field visits provided participants with an opportunity to explore the sanctuary's flora and fauna, and gain hands-on experience about ecosystem management. The programme was designed to educate and sensitize the participants about the significance of forests and inspire them to take action to protect the environment. The camp concluded with a pledge to continue working towards environmental conservation and sustainability.
