National Wildlife Week - Echoes of The Wild; Awareness series, online campaign and discussions at BAFAKHY YATHEEM KHANA B.Ed TRAINING COLLEGE, KALPAKANCHERY

As part of National Wildlife Week celebrations (October 2–8, 2025), Bafakhy Yatheem Khana B.Ed. Training College organized a series of awareness programs under the theme “Echoes of the Wild.” The initiative aimed to promote wildlife conservation awareness and foster ecological responsibility among student teachers and the wider community. Under the title “Whispers from the Past,” an Extinction Awareness Series was conducted throughout the week. Each day, details of one extinct animal species were shared with students through WhatsApp. The information included a brief description of the species, its habitat, causes of extinction, and a relevant photograph. Students were encouraged to upload the same awareness content as their WhatsApp status to extend the reach of information to the local community. This digital outreach initiative effectively utilized social media platforms for environmental education and public engagement. The programme titled “Voices of the Earth” focused on endangered species conservation. An online campaign was conducted to raise awareness about endangered animals .
