National Level Seminar On Indian Knowledge Systems (Ethnobotany) at CMS College Kottayam (Autonomous))
A national level seminar on INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMS (ETHNOBOTANY)was conducted on 11.07.2025 in the Educational Theater, CMS College Kottayam (Autonomous), Kerala with the financial support of DoECC, Government of Kerala. Dr.S Arya, a well known plant taxonomist led the sessions. The programme was collaborated by the Department of Botany, CMS College Kottayam (Autonomous)and the Department of Botany, St.Berchmans College(Autonomous), Changanacherry. Prof.Dr.Anju Sosan george, Principal,CMS College Kottayam presided over the function.
Session 1 (10.30 am): Traditional Plant Knowledge in Indian Knowledge Systems: Foundations and Frameworks
Session 2 (01.30 pm): Bridging Traditional and Modern Sciences: Integrating IKS into Botanical Research
A total of 85 participants from CMS College and St.Berchmans College attended the programme.
