NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY CELEBRATION 2024: Workshop on LED star making, titled "Shining Bright, Saving Energy: Eco-Friendly Star Making," at KKTM GOVT COLLEGE PULLUT


The Bhoomitra Sena Club of KKTM Government College, Pullut, in association with the IQAC and the Department of Physics, organized a special event on National Energy Conservation Day on December 12, 2024. The program aimed to promote awareness about energy conservation and encourage sustainable practices. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Soumya K. C., Coordinator of Bhoomitra Sena Club, setting the stage for an insightful and engaging session. The official inauguration was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Bindu Sharmila T. K., Principal of KKTM Government College, who emphasized the urgent need for energy conservation and the role of educational institutions in fostering eco-friendly practices.

A key highlight of the event was the workshop on LED star making, titled "Shining Bright, Saving Energy: Eco-Friendly Star Making," conducted by Dr. Dhanya N. P., Assistant Professor of Physics at KKTM Government College. The session provided hands-on training on assembling LED-based decorative stars, an initiative to promote energy-efficient lighting solutions. Participants actively engaged in the process, gaining practical knowledge about LED technology and its benefits in reducing electricity consumption. The workshop successfully combined scientific learning with creative application, making it a valuable experience for students and faculty alike.

The event took place in the Physics Laboratory at 10:00 AM, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. Dr. Lovely George, Head of the Department of Physics, played a pivotal role in organizing the session and ensuring its success. The program concluded with an interactive discussion on energy-saving techniques and the importance of adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
