Educational and Environmental Study Visit to Munnar at KTM COLLEGE OF ADVANCED STUDIES
The Bhoomithrasena Club (BMC), in association with the ED Club of KTM College of Advanced Studies, organized an Educational and Environmental Study Visit to Munnar. A total of 42 students participated in the programme. The visit included a tour of a tea factory, where students observed the various stages involved in tea processing and learned about the significance of the tea industry in the region. The factory officials explained the methods of cultivation, harvesting, processing, and packaging of tea leaves.
The students also visited Mettuppalayam Dam, where they gained insights into water storage, distribution, and the role of dams in supporting agriculture and community needs. The visit helped students appreciate the importance of natural resource conservation and sustainable environmental practices. The programme was highly informative and provided participants with valuable experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom.
