Awareness talk on 'Earth’s Waterless Age' Expert Talk by Dr.Sajin Kumar .K.S , Assistant Professor, Department of Geology , University of Kerala at HHMSPBNSS COLLEGE FOR WOMEN
On 24 th March 2025 at 1.30 P M Bhoomithra Sena Club proudly celebrated World Water Day 2025 in association with the Directorate of Environment and Climate, Government of Kerala at HHMSPBNSS College for Women, Neeramankara , highlighting the significance of water conservation and sustainable management. The event was graced by Dr Sajin Kumar K S, Assistant Professor, Geology , University of Kerala as the chief guest. The chief guest was welcomed by the Bhoomithra Sena Club Coordinator, Dr. Asha Devi R .
In his Keynote address on the “Earth’s Waterless Age” Dr Sajin Kumar K S had emphasized the importance of efficient water management and sustainable water conservation practices for the holistic approach in addressing water scarcity. He encouraged the students and faculty to contribute to innovative water conservation solutions. The program was attended by organizing committee members of Bhoomithra Sena Club, faculty members, students and dignitaries from various departments reinforcing the college’s commitment to Environmental sustainability and responsible water usage.
A total of 48 students and faculty members participated in the programme. The talk covers the topics on earth's resources, agriculture practices and the water availability in earth and the need of nature preservation. The programme ended at 3.30pm.Vote of thanks was offered by Dr.Neethu S Kumar, Faculty member of the Bhoomithra Sena Club.
