Awareness Program on Green Protocol for Conducting Various Events at St. Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam

The Green Protocol Team, under the Bhoomitrasena Club (BMC) of St Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, organized an awareness program on the Green Protocol initiatives of the campus to be followed by the organizers of the Fresher’s Days, Association Inaugurations, and other programs of various departments. It circulated a brochure with suggestions from the Green Protocol team on how to organize the programs in an environmentally sustainable way in the college.

The Green Protocol team listed the items that can be used and those that need to be avoided. For waste reduction, the team suggested avoiding using disposable cups, plates, and cutlery. Instead, it advocated the use of their reusable counterparts. The team also suggested opting for decorations made from recycled or biodegradable materials and reusing the already available materials.

The Green Protocol team working under the Bhoomitrasena Club of the college, further, visited every department during their celebrations to ensure that the protocol was being strictly followed; later on, they congratulated each of the departments for actively cooperating with the team to maintain green protocol and to bring out a positive impact.
