As part of the Malinya Mukta Navakeralam Cleaning Campaign under the vision of Suchitwa Keralam – Susthira Keralam, a cleanliness drive was organized by Aluva Munciplaity with active participation from students, faculty members, and volunteers. The campaign aimed at eliminating litter, promoting proper waste segregation, and instilling a sense of environmental responsibility among participants. Aluva Muncipal library was selected for the same.

The activity involved cleaning of selected areas, collection of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, and segregation at source. Awareness messages were shared on the importance of reducing plastic usage, adopting eco-friendly alternatives, and following scientific waste disposal practices. The collected waste was handed over to the appropriate local body systems for further processing and disposal.

The campaign successfully fostered environmental consciousness and civic responsibility, emphasizing that cleanliness and sustainability are shared responsibilities. The initiative aligned with Kerala’s vision of building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable state through collective action and continuous public participation.
