3.To conduct a plastic cleaning drive within and around the sanctuary premises to reduce pollution and protect biodiversity.
4.To create environmental awareness among participants and the general public about the ecological importance of Mangalavanam as a protected mangrove ecosystem and bird habitat.
- 1.To create awareness among fishermen, harbour workers, traders, and the local community about the causes and impacts of ocean plastic pollution.
2.To educate common men on the harmful effects of plastic waste on marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health.
3.To promote responsible waste disposal practices within harbour premises, including proper segregation and collection of plastic waste.
4.To encourage reduction in single-use plastics and adoption of eco-friendly alternatives in fishing and harbour-related activities.
5.To highlight the impact of plastic pollution on marine life, including entanglement, ingestion, and habitat degradation.
