Activities
- To support the Malinya Mukta Navakeralam initiative by promoting a clean, waste-free Kerala through systematic cleaning activities. To create awareness on source-level waste segregation, scientific waste management, and the principles of Suchitwa (clean) and Susthira (sustainable) Kerala. To encourage community participation and responsible environmental behavior among students, staff, and the public.
- To scientifically manage biodegradable waste through an advanced Bio-GAD (Bio-Gas Anaerobic Digestion) system integrated with a Robo Bin. To convert organic waste into useful outputs such as compost, biogas, and bio-oil, promoting a circular economy. To reduce the quantity of waste sent to landfills and minimize environmental pollution. To create awareness among students and staff on sustainable waste management and renewable energy generation.
- To conserve and enhance butterfly diversity by maintaining a dedicated butterfly garden with appropriate host and nectar plant species. To create awareness among students and staff about the ecological importance of butterflies as pollinators and indicators of environmental health. To promote biodiversity conservation and environmental stewardship through hands-on maintenance activities.
- To recognize and encourage young reporters for their outstanding contributions in environmental reporting and communication. To promote responsible journalism that highlights environmental issues, conservation efforts, and sustainable development. To inspire youth participation in environmental awareness, advocacy, and informed public discourse.
- To commemorate World Environment Day 2024 by promoting environmental awareness, responsibility, and collective action towards conservation and sustainable development in Kerala.
To sensitize stakeholders—including students, institutions, local bodies, and the public—on key environmental challenges and the need for eco-friendly practices.
To reinforce the role of policy, education, and community participation in protecting natural resources and ensuring environmental sustainability.
