Bhoomitharasena is working in the department of Environmental Sciences since 2010 (Reg. No. BMC-082/TVM/23/10). This club organizes programmes like seminars, quiz competitions, painting competitions, essay writing competitions etc. in the department in connection with environmentally important days like Environmental Day, Ozone Day, Biodiversity Day etc.

Activities

To demonstrate a "circular economy" within the department, where food waste is converted into biofertilizer.
Emphasizing the urgent need to protect the world's glaciers as they play a crucial role in maintaining the planet's water cycle
Aims to enhance the surface water system’s database and facilitate the transition to a knowledge society as part of the Nava Kerala (New Kerala) initiatives.
To discuss critical issues related to wetland conservation and management
