Activities

  • Wildlife Week celebrations aim to educate students about the importance of protecting wildlife and natural habitats while creating awareness about endangered species and the challenges faced in conservation. The programme encourages students to actively participate in conservation activities and promotes a spirit of volunteering in wildlife protection initiatives. It also informs them about important wildlife protection laws such as the Wildlife Protection Act, helping them understand their role and responsibility in safeguarding nature. Above all, it seeks to foster a deep appreciation for animals, forests, birds, and ecosystems, inspiring students to become responsible citizens committed to preserving biodiversity for future generations.
  • The activities—backwater study tour, mangrove plantation, and beach cleaning drive—aim to create awareness among students about coastal and wetland ecosystems and the importance of protecting natural resources. They help students understand the role of mangroves in preventing coastal erosion, conserving biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance. By involving students in hands-on activities, the programme encourages environmental responsibility, teamwork, and active participation in conservation efforts.
  • The beautification of the school garden aims to develop students’ love for nature and create awareness about the importance of greenery and environmental protection. By involving students in activities such as planting, watering, composting, and maintaining the garden, the programme encourages practical learning, teamwork, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. It also seeks to improve the school environment by creating a clean, pleasant, and healthy campus that inspires students to care for their surroundings.
